Information for Students, Trainees and Early-Career Professionals
Share Your Experience and Shape the Conversation
12-16 June 2027Brussels, Belgium
Theme: HTA In A Time of Transformation
Bring your HTA work to an international audience at the HTAi 2027 Annual Meeting.
Overview
Are you - or are your students, trainees or early-career researchers - working on health technology assessment, health policy, evidence synthesis, patient involvement, implementation, health economics, real-world evidence, digital health, AI or healthcare decision-making?
The HTAi Annual Meeting provides an opportunity to share that work with an international community of researchers, policymakers, HTA bodies, patient representatives, industry, clinicians and decision-makers.
HTA is changing quickly. New technologies, changing health systems, increasing pressure on resources and growing attention to equity and patient involvement all require fresh thinking.
Students, trainees and early-career professionals have an important role to play in shaping the future of HTA. HTAi 2027 offers a chance to be part of that conversation.
Why Submit an Abstract?
Submitting an abstract can help students, trainees and early-career professionals to:
present their work to an international audience;
receive feedback from the wider HTA community;
build confidence in scientific communication;
develop networks beyond their university or training program;
strengthen their CV or professional portfolio; and
understand how research connects with real-world healthcare decisions.
Your abstract does not have to be limited to a completed academic study. Submissions may also draw on practical projects, policy work, methodological learning, case studies, implementation experience, patient involvement activities or emerging research.
Ways to Contribute
Poster
Share a project, case study or key learning in a visual and accessible format.
Oral presentation
Present your findings, experience or perspective as part of a themed session.
Panel
Bring together different perspectives to explore an important question through discussion and audience participation.
Workshop
Lead an interactive session that helps participants learn, discuss or solve a challenge together.
What Makes a Strong Abstract?
The issue or context: What problem, gap or need did you identify?
The approach: What did you, your team or your organization do?
Results or learning: What changed, what did you discover, or what challenges did you encounter?
Relevance to HTA: How does the work connect to assessment, policy, implementation or healthcare decision-making?
Learning for others: What could others take away or apply in another setting?
